Saint Vincent -
The Riviera of the Alps
Situated 575 metres above sea level Saint Vincent enjoys a special microclimate that protects it from sharp temperature changes, and as such has earned itself the nick name “the Riviera of the Alps”.
The city was founded inside a natural depression in the fortified style of Medieval architecture that centres around the parish church. Approximately 50 years ago the spa baths and the original town hall were rebuilt. More recently the 12th century Romance church and the roads and piazzas of the centre have undergone similar restoration to thus ensure the village’s old world charm and create an elegant open air environment that is ideal for a walk or shopping.
